Envoyé aujourd'hui via le site clavia... On verra ce qui en ressort.
Dear Clavia team,
I recently bought a Nord Electro 3 and am so happy I did, as it is such a wonderful instrument, with a soul of its own.
I had great hopes for the sampling part too, and while I do find it pretty nice and helpful, I feel the software could be improved in numerous ways.
Here are my thoughts on it. Some ideas are crazy, some are mere requests that would help lots of people. I hope some will spark some interest and that I can see them in future updates.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and keep up the amazing work you are doing for keyboardists around the world.
Cheers,
Olivier
Nord Sample Editor features requests
Please :
- Recognize loop points already set in imported audio files. This will save a lot of time spent to reloop already looped files.
- Show duration and loop/start/stop points in samples rather than in seconds.
- NSM can only import samples at 44,1 KHz; no lower resolution seems to work despite what is written in the manual.
- Stop creating a Nord Backup folder at root level (C:)
- Deleting (from windows explorer) a sample that is in use in NSM then selecting it in NSM will result in the warning screen popping up indefinitely. You have to kill the process to shut the program down.
- Why do I have to highlight a whole sample if I want to manually assign it? Please make manual assignment work for the entire sample by default, and automatically assign the selection if a portion of the sample is selected (that's what start/stop tabs are for anyway).
- Allow dragging/dropping of samples in the "Audio Files" box.
- Allow dragging samples directly on the keyboard and adjust their ranges with the mouse (I had to ask it).
- Allow samples to spread higher than one octave beyond root note.
- Allow multisampling, i.e. several samples on the same note, triggered by velocity - this could be displayed as arrows along the keyboard to change the layer we are working on.
- Make the USB driver muticlient so I can open both NSE and NSM at the same time.
Thank you.
